Jennifer teaches The Art of Freedom to musicians in group classes at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center on Saturdays. Classes may be taken to obtain two levels of certification in The Art of Freedom.

Jennifer also offers private and small group instruction (2-4 persons) at the Balance & Harmony AT studio in Cincinnati (Madeira), as well as workships, private lessons, and classes at other locations, including the University of Cincinnati, where she is a faculty member at both of those institutions.

LESSON RATES

Contact Jennifer for current rates for private and small group lessons at Balance & Harmony Alexander Technique in Madeira, Cincinnati.

Taking small group lessons, or duo lessons as a couple or with a friend, is a great way to save money and enjoy learning something new in a relaxed social environment. Please contact me if you'd like to form or join a small group class (2-6 people).

See class offerings at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Dance Division, for group classes held during the school year, for teens and adults. College credit available.

If you have a group formed that is interested in learning about the Technique, I am available to give workshops onsite, related to whatever activity your group is interested in.

HOW MANY LESSONS SHOULD I TAKE?

As with learning any skill, the number of lessons to take is highly individual. Students receiving private instruction usually need only 1-2 lessons to assess whether the Technique is something they will benefit from. I generally recommend beginning with a set of 6 lessons, as this is a number of lessons reported in the British Medical Journal to be effective for chronic back pain (see link under News about Pain).

Deep, fundamental changes on many levels can often be achieved with a course of 24-30 lessons. Regular and frequent lessons (from weekly to daily) are highly recommended for making rapid progress. Compare learning the Technique to learning a new language or a new instrument.
